Where the blue begins

Greece, island by island.

Nine hundred islands, about two hundred inhabited, six that everyone books. Here is where to actually go , and what it costs to get there this month.

Cyclades

Santorini

Flights from €39 · 45 min from Athens

Sunsets that earn the cliché, plus black-sand beaches nobody photographs. Go in May or late September.

Cyclades

Mykonos

Flights from €45 · 40 min from Athens

Loud in August, lovely in June. Stay in Ano Mera if you want the island without the invoice.

Attica

Athens

Flights from €24 · Year-round

The cheapest European capital for a long weekend, and the gateway to every island ferry you will ever need.

Dodecanese

Rhodes & Symi

Flights from €52 · 1h from Athens

A medieval walled city, and a neoclassical harbour one hour away by boat.

Crete

Chania & the west

Flights from €41 · 1h from Athens

Villas at half the Cycladic rate, a Venetian old town, and Elafonisi pink sand an hour away.

Ionian

Corfu & Paxos

Flights from €36 · 1h from Athens

Green, Venetian and gentler than the Aegean. The best-value islands in the country in shoulder season.

How this works

One search. Every seller. Zero markup.

TransitNation is a comparison layer, not a travel agency. We show you what everyone is charging, then hand you over to whoever wins.

Search once

One form queries 700+ airlines and over a million properties at the same time , including the low-cost carriers that hide from the big sites.

See the real price

Baggage, seat fees and card charges are folded into the comparison, so the cheapest row is actually the cheapest.

Book direct

You finish the booking on the airline or hotel own site. Your card details never touch us , we do not have a checkout.

We get paid by them

Partners pay us a commission on completed bookings. It changes nothing about your price, and it is why this site has no ads.

The Aegean grid

Every island is one short hop from Athens.

Cave houses, not chain hotels.

The same property is often listed at four different prices across four different sites. We show you all four, including the small Greek operators the aggregators tend to bury.

Field notes

Guides written by people who missed the ferry.

Athens · 9 min read

The Acropolis before 8am, the neighbourhoods worth your evenings, and the one museum most people skip.

Ferries · 12 min read

Which company, which port, which deck class , and why the fast boat is not always worth double.

Cyclades · 7 min read

Shoulder-season dates, the villages on the quiet side of the island, and where the locals actually eat.

Booked Athens to Naxos for €31 after three sites quoted me €90. I am not asking questions.

MKMarianne K. · Rotterdam

The ferry guide alone saved our trip. We would have booked the wrong port in Athens and lost a whole day.

TSTom & Sara · Manchester

Finally a travel site that does not spend four screens trying to sell me insurance before showing a price.

Questions we get a lot.

Yes, and it stays free. We earn a commission from the airline, hotel or booking site when a trip you found here is completed. The commission comes out of their margin, not your fare , the price you see is the price you would pay going to them directly.

No. We have no checkout and we never take a payment. Every booking is completed on the seller own website, under their terms, with their customer service handling changes, refunds and cancellations.

Because it is the market we know inside out , which islands connect to which, when the ferries stop running for the season, which airport is worth the extra thirty euros. We would rather be genuinely useful in one country than vaguely useful in forty. Italy and Spain are next.

The fares shown across the site are representative samples while the partner feed is being connected. Once it is live, every price refreshes automatically. Airfares move constantly , always confirm the final figure on the seller page before you pay.

There is nothing to sign up for. No account, no newsletter wall, no cookie banner that takes four clicks to decline. Search, compare, leave.

Pick an island. We will find the cheap way there.

Start with a route, a month, or nothing at all , the search works fine with an empty destination field.
